Staff

ILCAA consists of about 40 full-time Research Staff members who specialize in linguistics, anthropology, or history. They are responsible for planning and conducting collaborative research projects and also performing administrative duties. In addition to the full-time research staff, there are positions for “Visiting professors and scholars”, “Project Staff”, “Research Associates”, “Research Fellows” and “Junior Research Fellows”; they have important roles in conducting ILCAA's joint research projects, in close cooperation with the full-time staff. Furthermore, about 350 researchers who are affiliated with other universities and institutions, both within Japan and abroad, participate in ILCAA's research projects as “Joint Researchers”.

ILCAA plays a key role in the academic community as a center that connects researchers from all over Japan and abroad.
