I have specialized in researching the history of northern Ethiopia, where Christianity has been practiced since the 4th century. While researching the history of northern Ethiopia, I became interested in the history of cultivated plants and food cultures in sub-Saharan Africa, and began researching these topics. I am also researching racial theories related to Africa, as I became interested in the position of the Ethiopian ethnic groups in racial theories, which were developed in Europe and had a great influence on the history of African regions.
