A lecture will be held as the conclusion of the Photographic Exhibition "Interacting with Local Society: Dialogue with Photographer Fusayoshi Kai.” In this lecture, Mr. Fusayoshi Kai will introduce his relationship with the Demachi District of Kyoto as commentary on the photographic exhibition, while telling his life history. After the lecture, there will be a roundtable by Mr. Kai and three researchers specializing in area studies, who participate in the exhibition, to discuss the meaning of “interacting with local society,” transcending their respective positions as a photographer and area-studies researchers, while introducing each work of the exhibition.
