This event focuses on artifacts such as senninbari and children’s letters, examining how wartime materials convey the tension between bodies sacrificed for the nation and bodies sustained by care, memory, and hope. Moving between wartime Japan and the present, it reconsiders life, death, the body, and the transmission of war memory.
