This carved walrus tusk is a gift presented by Ms. Tat’yana Belichenko, a famous Chukchi artist, in summer of 2003.
Walrus tusk carving is a traditional art form for the Chukchi and Siberian Eskimo natives of the Chukotka Peninsula at the northeast end of Russia.
