About the Project

Project term: April, 2024–March, 2027

This project will investigate types of borders and dividing lines drawn in human daily life and explore the processes through which we can achieve coexistence and solidarity beyond these lines, utilizing approaches from drawn from Islamic and gender studies. For these discussions, we jointly hold a series of considerations on the subjects of "categories," "rules," "empowerment," and "representation," in addition to "fairness" as a common keyword throughout the discussion. We consider these subjects as able to divide and connect people, as well as influencing their lives.
