ベイルート若手研究者報告会

中東☆イスラーム研究セミナー，教育セミナーと同じく，2005(平成17)年度から始まった中東イスラーム研究教育プロジェクトの一環として，AA研が推進している事業です。国籍を問わず，日本において中東に関連する人文・社会科学（地域研究・歴史学・人類学・イスラーム学など）を専攻している若手研究者の最新の研究成果を，レバノンをはじめとする中東の研究者たちに広く知っていただくとともに，専門家同士の密度の濃い議論の場を提供することを目的としています。

公募によって選考され，中東現地に派遣される若手研究者は，英語による30分間の研究報告を行い，その後15分間，開催地や近隣の中東諸国あるいは欧米から招へいしたコメンテータを含む参加者との間で質疑応答を行います。本報告会は，2006（平成18）年度はイスタンブルのボアジチ大学，2007（平成19）年度はベイルートのクラウン・プラザ・ホテルで開催しましたが，2008（平成20）年度からはレバノン共和国ベイルートにおける研究拠点「中東研究日本センター」を会場とし，「日本における中東研究の最前線 Middle Eastern Studies in Japan: the State of the Art」というタイトルのもとに開催しています。
