About the Project

Project term: April, 2025–March, 2028

This project is a continuation of the ILCAA Joint Research Project “Anthropology of Embodiment.” The project carries out joint research on various bodily practice and expressions mainly in Asia and Africa, focusing on the relation between the body and various surrounding factors such as “things,” environments, and other people. In particular, it aims to explore the dynamic entanglements and correlations between the body and these surrounding factors, with special attention to dynamics of dis-/re-embodiment.
