Instant noodle in India

`Maggi Hot Spot' in the Domestic Terminal of Chennai Airport. Maggi is a synonym for instant noodles in India, and here you can order a packed noodles to be cooked on the site. Instant noodles in India are boiled with much lesser quantity of hot water, the finish looks like instant fried noodles, the soup is hidden at the bottom.

When you look at the menu, you can see the products that use whole wheat flour (Atta) or those using oats, which are advertized as rich in dietary fiber and good for health, there are also those named with the type of capsicum "Periperi" (milder than green chili) etc. Non Veg tag is given only to the last one, all others are vegetarian as is normal in India.

MRP in the price column refers to Max Retail Price, the price labeled on the item. This means that for Maggi Cup Noodles they will not take cooking fee. However, since the MRP of the packed noodles is about 12 rupees, here cooked noodles are sold at a price nearly 10 times high. Although the notation of price by simply writing `MRP' is common in India, I suspect it may be hiding the real price of Cup Noodles, because their MRP is normally 45 rupees.
