View from Galata Tower

The Galata Tower in Istanbul is one of my favorite spots in travel. Climbing steep slope leads you to the medieval stone tower with pointed roof. Elevated to the observation deck, you will see the whole scenery of the city of Istanbul including the famous mosques such as Aya Sofia across the strait of Golden Horn. Looking around the deck, the sequence of orange roofs of the buildings spreading both to the Asian and European sides seems like a page of a picture book. While long time no see since the political turmoil in Turkey, I hope the day will come back to visit there before long.
