A pagoda in twilight gloom

Pagodas in Myanmar are usually lit up through the night. In the place where there are numerous Buddhist architectures such as Bagan it would be impossible to light up all of them. But even a pagoda in a small village is to be illuminated if it is visited by prayers everyday.

This is a photo of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. The pagoda is one of 'replica's of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon like the pagoda with the same name in Myitkyina introduced before. In the gathering gloom, the pagoda viewed from about 12km distance shows a calm and quiet appearance, not looking much like the principal pagoda of the capital ...... It would be partly because Naypyidaw is not so populated as a capital.
