This is a view from Zaisan Tolgoi, in Ulan Bartor, Mongolia. ‘Tolgoi’ means hill or head, and this hillock offers a sweeping view over the city of Ulan Bator. In recent years, the construction of high-rise buildings and condominiums has progressed, encroaching closer to Zaisan Tolgoi. Previously, we had to walk from the base of the hill to reach the top, but now we can take a shortcut through the upper floor of the building visible on the right side of this photograph.
