A downhill road to Downtown Amman

Amman, the capital of Jordan is notorious for a lot of hills. Ahead of the downhill road, we can see a townscape in the foot of the mountain. It is the oldest area of the city called Downtown Amman, where various shops crowdedly stand side by side and many people enjoy shopping. Expanded from a mountain valley, the city has always accepted refugees and immigrants both at home and abroad. So, houses stand close together also on the top and hillsides.
The yellow cars in the photo are taxis. As there are few means of public transport from Downtown Amman to other areas, people are pressed to make an extremely difficult decision: taking a bus or a shared taxi service under the circumstances that it is completely impossible to know when they will come and depart, going up a steep uphill in the heat, or scrambling for few taxis (even if they win the race, they have to struggle for the fares with the taxi driver).
