Fireworks of Singapore National Day

Fireworks are held at Marina Bay in 9th August, the Singapore National Day, every year. I went to Downtown to see the fireworks with two acquaintances of mine. Having a dinner at a restaurant in Clarke Quay, we walked along Singapore River toward Marina Bay and sat by the hook of the river where the stream turns from southeastwards to northeastwards. There are not so many fireworks viewers near us on the riverside pathway. Merlion Park must have been far more crowded like Sumida River in Japan. Though the duration of fireworks display was relatively short, only about 20 minutes, hand-held continuous shooting was fairly tough to me. I really envied a young girl wearing hijab (a kind of Islamic veil) who were taking pictures, putting her digital SLR camera on a tripod.
