A seaside railway station in Colombo

ŞBambalapitiya station is situated at 6 kilometers south of Colombo Fort station.
In the background is the construction site of the man-made land of future Colombo International Financial City, a big Chinese investment project.

The people on the platform who has just got off the train look like Chinese tourists.
However, the fact of their returning in the evening to this suburban station suggests that they are not ordinary tourists, but may be in some relation with Chinese construction workers who occupy all the big construction sites in Colombo.
