A Buryat family on the Hulunbuir Steppe

Part of the Buryat community immigrated to China after the Russian Revolution. Their descendants still live there, on the Hulunbuir Steppe.

They make their own costumes using brightly colored Chinese cloth and a highly sophisticated sewing technique they developed before arriving in China.
