This is a picture of the door to the department of Mongol and Tibetan studies’ library at the University of Bonn, Germany. From a glance, we can understand that this room has some relation to the Orient. The five-colored cloths tied to the knobs are symbolic of Tibetan Buddhism. A visiting professor from Mongolia told me proudly that he had decorated the cloths by himself.
