The rainy season in Yangon

In Myanmar the rainy season lasts from late May to October with frequent torrential rain and high humidity. It is such a hassle to walk around downtown in the heavy downpour. Every evening you will see lots of people hurrying home holding up their traditional skirt-like garments (Longyi) with one hand and holding their umbrellas with the other.
