The Songkran (from Sanskrit saṃkramaṇa “the passage of the sun into a new zodiac sign) festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year’s Day from 13 to 15 April.
Especially in Chaing Mai city in northern Thailand, they enjoy throwing water each other. Some parade around the moat of Chaing Mai on pick up trucks with water tanks.
