Oosbegs of Koondooz, Toorkistaun
This is a portrait of two Uzbeks, Turkic people who reside in the north.. Their garish costumes are called gadras,h made from silk and cotton woven together. Their silk hats, called Kalpauks, are wrapped with white muslin turbans. They are also characterized by their long leather boots of shagreen.
