Khoja Padshauh, A Cohistaun Chief
The Tajik people lived in Kohestan, north of Kabul. Khwaje Padshah was the chief of the Nijraw valley in eastern Kohestan, and was devoted to his work at the time of the author’s visit. Here he is depicted listening to the entreaties of the people.
