Encampment of the Candahar Army outside the walls of Caubul
Exhibtat Pieces
When the British army withdrew in 1842, the Qandahar Army, including the author, camped outside Kabul. The streets of Kabul can be seen in the center of the painting, at the foot of the mountains, with the palace, Bala Hisar, on the left. At the front left is the British Qandahar Army, which later withdrew through the Khyber Pass.
