Dust Muhammad Khan was from the Barakzay branch of the Durranis and ruled Kabul since 1826. His rise to power and approach to Russia caused an invasion by the British; however, he was reinstated after the British withdrew. The setting is his audience room in Ghazni, with beautiful wall decorations.
