研究者養成34中東☆イスラーム研究セミナー、中東☆イスラーム教育セミナー 2005（平成17）年度から始まった中東イスラーム研究教育プロジェクトの一環として、AA研が毎年行っている研修事業です。「教育セミナー」は、大学院生を対象に、AA研スタッフと招へい講師による講義、受講生のうち希望者による研究発表から構成されています。中東やイスラームについて専攻する大学院生はもとより、専門分野の基礎はできているが中東やイスラームを専攻としない院生も受け入れ、基礎的な知識や研究手法の情報提供、受講者の間の討論を通した交流の場を作っています。「研究セミナー」は、それよりも高度なレベルの研究者、すなわち大学院博士課程後期（博士課程）および博士論文の準備をしている方々を対象にしています。講義は行わず、長時間の研究発表と徹底した討論の機会を提供します。なお本事業は、2006（平成18）年度から、東京外国語大学大学院および同大学院と単位互換協定を結んだ大学院に所属する学生の単位履修申請科目となっています。http://www.aa.tufs.ac.jp/ja/training/meis/meis-semi/オスマン文書セミナー オスマン朝の文書・帳簿を古文書学・アーカイブズ学的視点から学ぶ演習形式のセミナーです。年に1回、2日間にわたって開催しています。http://meis2.aacore.jp/ottoman.htmlSeminars on Middle East and Islamic Studies (MEIS) for Students of Postgraduate and Postdoctoral LevelThe MEIS Seminars started as a part of the activities of the project MEIS in 2005. The annual seminars aim to provide the latest academic information and also to provide opportunities to improve presentational and discussion skills for students of postgraduate and postdoctoral levels who are interested in the Middle East and/or the Muslim Societies. The seminars include lectures by researchers from both TUFS and other universities, presentation training for students, and discussions. The seminars are designed to broaden their knowledge by presenting the latest academic information and strengthen their ability of presentation and discussion.大学院教育Doctoral Education AA研では、大学院教育を後継者養成、若手研究者育成の重要な活動として位置づけ、東京外国語大学に大学院博士後期課程が設置された1992年以来、博士後期課程の教育に組織的に関わってきました。アジア・アフリカの言語文化に関する国際的な共同利用・共同研究拠点であるAA研では、研究プロジェクトの組織や国内外の研究集会の企画運営などが常に行われているため、大学院生も共同研究の組織や企画運営に関する実践経験を積むことができます。これは通常の大学院プログラムにはない利点です。2016年度からは、大学院における研究者養成を強化すべく、博士前期課程の教育にも組織として関わり始め、現地調査に基づく言語、文化、歴史、地域研究を軸とするアジア・アフリカフィールドサイエンスプログラムを提供しています。ILCAA is committed to graduate-level education as part of its effort to train researchers of next generation. It has been involved in doctoral education since 1992 when the Ph.D. programs were established at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. As a center of national and international research collaboration, ILCAA offers a unique opportunity for students to take part in planning, organizing, and carrying out collaborative projects. In 2016 AY, we expanded our participation in graduate education by offering master’s level courses and providing thesis supervision. The new program focuses on fieldwork-based research in linguistics, cultural anthropology, history, and area studies of Asia and Africa.
