My personal history

Born in Aut. Region, Inner Mongolia, China.
June, 1990. M.A. in Mongolian linguistics from the University of Inner Mongolia
Oct. 1990. Relocated to Japan.
Mar. 1995. M.A. in Linguistics from Hokkaido University.
Mar. 1998. Completed Ph.D. course work in linguistics of Kyoto University.
Since Apr. 1998, ILCAA. Became Reserch Associated Fellow at Tokyo University for Foreign Studies.
Mar. 2001. Ph.D. Kyoto University.

 

My Field

Linguistics, Chukchi

Since 1992, I have done descriptive research on Chukchi which has included extensive field work. Lately, I have also been working, folktale analysis + collection, on the traditional nomad culture of reindeer-breeding Chukchi.
