Acknowledgements

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Dzongkha Development Commission, Thimphu, for giving us permission to use the dictionary and to make it public. At the end of March 2012 when Dr.Izumi HOSHI and I visited Bhutan, we had fruitful talks on issues of the Dzongkha language with DDC. Then the Commission kindly offered us the source files of Dzongkha dictionaries including English-Dzongkha dictionary and Dzongkha-Dzongkha dictionary for the purpose of the promotion of the Dzongkha language.
I thank Linguistic Dynamics Science Project (LingDy) who enabled me to visit DDC, Bhutan.
I owe Information Resources Center (IRC) thanks for supporting the making of the electronic Dzongkha English dictionary.
Special thanks go to Dr. Yoshiro IMAEDA, specialist of Tibetan language and culture, who has arranged the talks between DDC and us.
I note that the implementation of the Dictionary has become possible with softwares developed by Grammatological Informatics based on Corpora of Asian Scripts (GICAS).
