About the Degema Language
Degema is a Delta Edoid language spoken by the autonomous communities of Usokun-Degema and Degema Town in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State of Nigeria.
The communities each speak a variety of Degema that is highly mutually intelligible with the other.
These varieties, Usokun and Degema Town (Atala), are derived from the names of the communities.
