For her thesis on "The liturgical chant of Lithuanian Karaims" she was awarded a grant from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. A postgraduate student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music, she has also worked since 1997 at the Composers Union of Lithuania, and gives lectures on Oriental music at the Department of Oriental studies in the University of Vilnius.
