FELLAHS, A MAN AND WOMAN
A man and woman in thick clothing are talking to each other after their farm work. Since they both are barefooted, it can be assumed that they are not from a wealthy class. The man is unusually dressed, in a crude animal skin that makes him seem almost like a darwīsh, devotee of Sufism (Islamic Mysticism). The artist meticulously depicted the smoke of the man's shbuq (pipe). The mud structure behind is a dovecote.
