 There are hardly any explanatory texts about the contents of the panels or objects on display in this exhibition. Instead the participants in the international conference were asked to give their respective explanations and commentaries in front of the displays and this was recorded on video. Since the Athabascans are leading their own revitalization movements, it was only appropriate that they talk about the exhibit using their own words and gestures rather than having it explained for them. For several days during the international conference participants gathered in the lounge room of the exhibition and gave live singing and drumming performances. Some songs and stories flowed out smoothly, while other songs took a while to be remembered. While humming the melody, the lyrics gradually took shape and finally with the addition of gestures and expressions, the songs and stories came alive. There were many of these emoments of revival.f During the last week of this work-in-progress exhibit, this video, which is itself a work-in-progress, was shown.
