Meerza Fyze, An Oosbeg Elchee, or Ambassador
The man on the right is Mirza Fayz, an ambassador from Khulum in the north. The author reports that he is regal and good looking with a good complexion for the Uzbeks. Mir Wali, prince of Khulum, sought peaceful negotiations with the British; however, this broke down and led to fighting.
